This is framed print of a public domain photo showing Alex Martin’s Dextra Racing Ford ‘FOCUS’ at Brands Hatch.
Alex, clearly has to ‘FOCUS’ on the track ahead of him, as he races towards the winning line.
The original photo, shown below, has had the background blurred (thus out of ‘FOCUS!’), a white vignette applied, and then converted to a black & white image. I’m quite pleased with the editing, but just wish that I had taken the original photo! I’m also quite pleased to have been able to get three different ‘Focuses’ out of one post! 🙂

(Please Note – I’ve tried to locate the photographer who took the original photo (via Google image search), with no success, the photo possibly comes from the ‘British Touring Cars Championship’ website.)
This doesn’t evoke the best of memories for me. My father was a fanatical watcher of motor races, and often childhood Sundays were blighted by having to go along with him. The tedium! The stink of petrol! Unsurprisingly, I’ve grown up with a great aversion to all things Formula One. Nevertheless, these are great photos

Lol!!! Sorry to have evoked such memories Margaret, I must admit, like you, I would much prefer to be out photographing flowers in a meadow than at a race track! 🙂

Quite apt. I am not much of a race watcher. I get palpitations watching it on TV
