I hadn’t realised when I took these two photos of the leaves in the sunlight, that two different types of fly had landed on the top of the leaves. The first photo above, has the more common type of fly on it’s surface, like a blue bottle, or house fly. The second photo however, I think it’s a fly, mainly because of it’s very short antennae. If anyone has any other ideas, please comment below.

Both photos were taken in Balbirnie Park, near Glenrothes, at the beginning of May.
